For aesthetic reasons, I changed the indicators and the rear light to LED elements (admittedly, a historical error, but it's so much more beautiful!).
A 2002 motorcycle that has been driven (even if it only had 45,000 km on the odometer), shows certain traces of use that it is best to remove before any painting action. In my case, an engine that had overheated on a summer day when stopped had somewhat damaged the fairing on its lower part... And so, fiberglass and sanding operation... Erwan (whom you will discover in the painting stage), will also later have to sand again certain parts that use had made him suffer... It's crazy the number of imperfections that appear as soon as a surface is repainted!
This stage is first of all a beautiful encounter. I had been following for a few years, on Facebook, an airbrush painter who had set up a school in Sucé-sur-Erdre (near Nantes, France).
Erwan ROBERT, who directs RBT Création, is a passionate, talented and exciting artist. He immediately understood and embraced my BMW CHP project.
